Demonstrate for the Robin Hood Tax, Mo., 9/17, 7:00am & Noon
Monday, September 17th is the one year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street’s birth. Activists from Occupy are calling for a mass demonstration by groups opposed to Wall Street’s greed under the banner, “All Roads Lead to Wall Street”. Occupy helped celebrate our Robin Hood Tax anniversary action last April, joined on buses to the International AIDS conference protests in Washington in July, let’s celebrate their 1st year anniversary with them. Join ACT UP, Vocal New York, National Nurses United and others to once again demand a Robin Hood Tax to fight AIDS (aka a Financial Transaction Tax on Wall St., stock, bond, currency and derivative trades). Our demand for a Financial Transaction Tax is gaining steam. We are having 2 demonstrations that day. Come to one, or both.
- Join us in a mass legal demonstration on Monday September 17th at 7am. Assemble at Broadway and Wall in front of Trinity Church.
- And/or join us at a rally and march at noon, also on Monday September 17th at Zuccotti Park.
Take the A, C train to Broadway Fulton, the N stop at Rector. It may be hard to get to Trinity from 4, 5 to Wall St. and 2, 3 Wall St. N stop at Rector
