Health Gap Awardees Sharonann Lynch, Mark Milano and Julie Davids in Action
Hey everyone,
Thanks to everyone who came out the community forum last night on HIV criminalization in the U.S.
I am writing to encourage you to attend Health GAP’s Global Health justice awards ceremony and fundraiser on May 30 at the Matthew Marks Gallery in New York. Health Gap was founded at a coalition meeting called by ACT UP in January 1999 when antiretroviral treatment of HIV was unheard of in most of the developing world. Since then that coalition of forces has had an amazing impact on the availability of antiretroviral treatment to people with HIV/AIDS world wide.
Currently nearly 40% of those desperately in need of HIV meds can get them in the developing world. You can join me, playwright and activist Larry Kramer, documentary filmmaker and producer David France, POZ editor Regan Hoffman, and our amazing honorees Mark Harrington, Mark Milano, Sharonann Lynch, Julie Davids, and National Nurses United, plus hundreds of activists.
[ REGISTRATION CLOSED ]
See you on Wednesday, Michael Tikili
P.S. Health GAP won’t turn anyone away from the Global Health Justice Awards – and they’re able to do that with your help through scholarship tickets. Whether you can join us or not, you can support an activist who cannot purchase their own ticket.
