New York Health Act Info Session with Act Up on Zoom March 2, 7PM
With Richard N. Gottfried and Dr. Leonard Rodberg, champions of Single-Payer
Join ACT UP NY and two champions of single-payer health insurance, Richard N. Gottfried and Dr. Leonard Rodberg, at our upcoming General Meeting, and learn about the New York Health Act (NYHA) — a universal healthcare bill in New York State that would guarantee high quality, comprehensive healthcare for all New Yorkers.
For more than 30 years, Dick and Len have been pressuring the New York State government to pass the New York Health Act. Our friends at @nyhcampaign know that 74% of New Yorkers believe that high healthcare costs are a major issue, and the NYHA would help with the outrageous costs and disparities in the health insurance system.
The NYHA is a solution we want to educate all New Yorkers about, from freelance workers to teachers to nurses to delivery drivers, that healthcare is a necessity we can take off the bargaining table.
Learn more with us at the top of our General Meeting at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, March 2. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
