Eugene Chudnovsky is a Distinguished Professor of Physics at the City University of New York. He has been involved in human rights movement in Russia, came to the U.S. in 1987, and served as chair of the Human Rights Committee of the New York Academy of Sciences. He currently co-chairs the Committee of Concerned Scientists. He has done research on airborne infection and has written articles on human rights issues and COVID-19.
Jim Eigo is a writer and AIDS activist living in New York City. From 1987 to 1992 and again from 2012 to 2017, Jim worked on several campaigns with ACT UP. The early campaigns helped re-make federal AIDS drug research and regulation. The later campaigns focused on ending AIDS as an epidemic in New York State and transforming New York City’s STD Clinics into Sexual Health Clinics and one-stop hubs of HIV prevention and care.
