Obamacare and HIV/AIDS Care Teach-in
ObamaCare is going to create huge need for advocacy; Come learn more at a 30 minute teach-in during our next meeting:
- What do AIDS activists need to know about the Affordable Care ACT aka Obamacare? Join ACT UP/NY next Tuesday, 2/25 at our general meeting for a teach-in on Obamacare and it’s impact on HIV services. As part of our general meeting we will have a presentation providing background on the US healthcare system – where the money comes from now and where it goes – and the benefits promised by Obamacare. This will be a time to get basic information, ask questions, identify potential gaps in care and discuss where we might need to take action. Knowledge is power!
