This webinar focuses on the future of HIV treatment. We will discuss how HIV treatment has changed and what’s in the pipeline (including injectable HIV meds), dispel myths about HIV meds, and address the search for a cure. All information is presented in jargon-free, easy to understand language. We dig deep into topics, to make sure that everyone comes away with a clear grasp of everything presented.
As a result of this training, people will be able to:
- Describe how HIV treatment has changed over the years
- Explain how HIV meds are able to control the virus
- Define undetectable viral load and how it differs from a cure
- Discuss recently-approved treatments and what’s in the pipeline
- Define what a cure may look like, and how we may get there
- Identify questions to ask when starting a new med
